Plant Derived Minerals
Denkelia’s plant derived colloidal minerals are carefully extracted and processed in Utah, the mining capital of the United States. Our source is an open cast humic shale mine which houses deposits of prehistoric plant matter which existed between 75 and 150 million years ago and now this precious resource sits close to the surface, ready to reward us with a pure source of plant derived minerals.
Water and UV rays can and will leach goodness out of these deposits. However, our source is covered with a layer of matter which was once an ancient deciduous forest. This in turn is covered with a thin limestone cap, protecting it from the elements. The layer from which we extract our life enhancing plant derived minerals was not subject to heavy pressure and therefore didn’t fossilise or putrefy and remains available for easy extraction.
The compressed ancient deciduous forest from which we source our plant derived minerals was once full of ferns, angiosperms (e.g. magnolias), cycads and conifers. At the time, the soil in which these vibrant plants flourished was rich in minerals and these were converted into organic colloidals which, over 75 million years later, form the basis of Denkelia’s plant derived minerals.
It’s believed these plants absorbed at least 60 of the 80+ metallic minerals in the soil. The brontosaurus happily munched his way through an average of 880 pounds of vegetation a day, while trees grew an average of 25 feet every year.
After the humic shale is carefully removed from its ancient resting place, it’s deposited into large sterlised, food grade tanks with natural spring water. It’s here that, through the process of osmosis, the nutrients slowly leach out of the shale. The culmination of this process results in a plant derived colloidal mineral supplement that contains 38 grams of plant derived minerals per litre. Producing one litre of this precious commodity takes 78 pounds of humic shale, which is believed to be 1,034 pounds of prehistoric vegetation.
Metallic Minerals
- Source – sea-beds, rocks and soil
- Not water soluble (hydrophic) and therefore difficult to dissolve
- Positive electric charge
- Absorption rate is less than 8%
- A common supplement sold in supermarkets
Chelated Minerals
- Metallic mineral coated with an amino acid or protein
- A product of the late 1970s as a solution to poor metallic mineral absorption
- Absorption rate is just over 50%
Plant Derived Minerals
- Negative electric charge
- Very easy to dissolve (hydrophilic)
- 200 - 2,000 times smaller than metallic minerals
- Easily absorbable – some minerals are only .0000001 micron
- Absorption rate is 90 – 95%
Denkelia’s Plant Derived Minerals are sourced from a mineral-rich prehistoric, deciduous forest that grew on this earth over 75 million years ago. Hidden safely from the world for millennia, the humic shale which contains this ancient plant matter is carefully extracted from the earth and processed to produce a product which is infinitely better than other mineral sources such as dried sea-bed matter or bentonite clay.
Liquid Colloidal Form
Minerals which plant naturally absorb from the earth are converted into colloids which are highly absorbable and bioavailable.
Enhanced Bioavailability and Detoxification
The negative electrical change which plant derived minerals contain, enables them to not only enhance the body’s detoxification process but also assist it to transport other nutrients and enhance their bioavailability.
Pure and Natural
The process of extracting the plant derived minerals from the humic shale is carefully monitored from beginning to end. Once mined, it’s deposited in natural spring water in large, sterilised food grade containers, where the process of extracting the minerals begins. The result is pure, natural plant derived minerals with no preservatives, additives, flavourings or synthetic substances.
