Omega 3-6-9 is a carefully formulated blend of fish, flaxseed and borage oils. As our bodies are not able to make these essential fatty acids, we need to source them from our diet and/or supplements, as they are vital to many of our physiological functions.
Omega 3 is made up of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). This fatty acid helps reduce inflammation and improves mood. It’s found in oily fish such as sardines, mackerel and salmon. It also includes ALA (Alpha-linolenic acid) which fish naturally convert into EPA and DHA. Our bodies can only perform this task in minute amounts.
Omega 6 is found in various oils, seeds and nuts. It’s made up of linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid.
